Leave of Absence

- - 1st semester leave and return: 1st to 3rd week of February every year

- Please send your student number, major, name, and reason for leave of absence to the administration team of Graduate School of Economics (economy@yonsei.ac.kr).

- Leave of Absence cannot exceed one semester at a time and leaves can be taken up to two times during the school year.

First semester leave of freshmen is not allowed in principle. However, in case of medical reasons with medical certificate, it is possible to take a leave of absence.
- The amount of the refund will depend on the time of the leave of absence.

Please note: Application of leave must be submitted during the designated period.
After two leaves of absence, the student must apply for reinstatement. Students who do not reinstate will be expelled.

- 6. Refund of Tuition Fee

- On September 21, 2004, the "Rules for the Tuition Fees and Entrance Fee" of the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development was revised and announced. Thus, the enforcement regulations for tuition administration of our university have been revised.
- The amendment will be applied to students who leave or drop-out from this semester. After the commencement of the semester, students will be provided with a more favorable return criteria.
- The university's own regulations that "All tuition fees will be fully refunded within 14 days after the commencement of the semester start date" remain unchanged.
